Today it is a very different story with both of us spending as much of our free time as possible going out and photographing railway action right across Britain. Be it locomotives, coaches, passenger units or freight wagons, we try and capture them all on our cameras.
As I am sure you can imagine, there is nothing like getting up early in the morning at any time of year to catch the earliest train possible out of London, with your camera bag around your neck, a sandwich, drink, and most importantly, a list of the locomotive numbers you are looking to photograph during the day; you are then ready to head off on your adventure.
Even with your best detailed plans laid out on a table in a railway coach heading towards somewhere in Britain, you just never know what you are going to see, either from your seat on your journey, or from your position on a station platform; the day can be full of surprises.
On this website you will have the opportunity to look at and purchase some of the many images we have taken over the years; in fact we have over one million photographs in our archive collection.
So please have a look at and enjoy our website and feel free to get in touch with any requests or questions you may have.
We are also interested in purchasing any railway slides or negatives you no longer want so would love to hear from you.
